my girl
Mixed bag today, I had a late start as I went to collect the steering wheel and get some more sanding masks. I started off trimming the ply from yesterday and sanding the proud staples and cleaning up the glue. I only had 3 pieces of ply left so I glued and stapled them on and carried on sanding the sides. I got to the main bulkhead area before I ran out of motivation. I then mixed up some filler and filled staple holes and put the left over on the transom where there was air pockets in the previous layer of micro-balloons. Once i had used all the filler I transferred my attention to the cap around the deck on the stb side. I reshaped it and attempted to attach it, but, there’s not enough room, so gave up on that for now. Then Nathan arrived and we sliced 2 more sheets of the 4mm ply. I’ll glue more on tomorrow, then off sailing Friday.
