my girl
I stripped off the peel ply on everything i glassed yesterday. Then started off coving the keel section and glued in the graving piece. Then glassed 2 more meter strips and peel plyed them. I also started to back fill the shaft log with epoxy, started with 7 pumps to try and avoid it going thermo in this heat. I didn’t get round to sanding the next section as another job appeared on the radar. I’ll do that first thing tomorrow.
This site is dedicated to the restoration of My Girl, a planing launch built in 1925 by Dick Lang. She is a square bilge vessel based on a design by W.H.Hand. Originally powered by a 6 cylinder 90hp Scripps engine she was capable of over 18 knots.
